The New Stacking Box — and Chase

March 17, 2008

One of our Training Club members, John Welby, makes things — agility equipment up until this last week.  I talked him into designing a stacking box for Chase.  He delivered it right before conformation drill yesterday.  Bonnie Kellner helped Chase try it out.

He’s going to be spending a lot of time perched on the paw blocks.  I keep a grooming table set up at the house and just scoop up dogs and stack them — with no warning.  Notwithstanding his call name, it looks like we will always have to say “Ikey, hold still”.  Chase is a busy boy with a hectic schedule, places to go and things to see.  Today he made friends with the new mail carrier, decimated a tennis ball, and took all the cushions off my loveseat — that was by 10:00 AM.  It’s no wonder he sleeps like a log.  He falls so deeply asleep that he rolls off of or out of whatever he’s sleeping in or on, and it never wakes him up.

LOL!!! He just sounds like a typical teenage boy 🙂

At least he’s not out chasing girls and asking to borrow the car keys!

PS…would your instructor like to sell another set of those blocks?

The club member makes three sizes of boxes, but will do custom sizes as well. The large is 2′ x 4′, medium is 18″ x 3′, and small (what I have) is 1′ x 2′. He can make extra paw blocks for example if you want a large (for Irish Wolfhounds), you’d order 3″ paw blocks for the corgis and an extra set of 5″ blocks for the wolfies. His prices are very reasonable I think. I can email you his contact information and prices.
