inca-jumping-5-8-08-b-cropped.jpgInca loves Agility.  She loves the contacts, she loves jumping, she adores tunnels, she REALLY likes herding dogs that catch the zoomies.  The great problem — she never forgets who’s fed her treats.  She detours to sit up in front of the donors if she sees them — even if she’s on the course.  (Thanks to Thad for the great action shots.)

  2. Mothers’ Day Best of Winners Photo

This is the Best of Winners/Best Puppy photo from Chase’s major win on May 11th.  He’s with Judge Monica Canestrini and our friend Bonnie Kellner.  I thinks he’s such a cute boy!  We’re off to Flagstaff next weekend, and then the last weekend of June to Oklahoma City for four days of shows, including a supported entry.  My heart beats faster when I look at this photo.  I didn’t expect my 6-1/2 month old puppy to win, especially not both days, especially not a major, especially not a puppy Herding Group I.  Whew — what a weekend!

  3. Feliz Cumpleanos, Inca

Tomorrow we celebrate six years of life for the Red Goddess/Empress of the Known Universe.  CH C-Myste Baledwr N’Candescent CGC (and registered through Therapy Dogs, Inc.) was born on May 26, 2002.  She’s spent her first six years making people smile, sitting on her haunches begging for food, charming the residents of an Alzheimer Unit, and being boss in the world of canine housemates.  She loves agility and herding, tolerates obedience and tracking, seeks out tummy rubs.  Children turn her into a wagging pile of red mush.  So, little Inca, have another wonderful year doing things your way.  (The necklace and earrings are only for this special occasion.)

  4. More Celeb Think-Alikes

Inca is Oprah — why are we not surprised?  Kip is Will Smith, which may explain why I so dearly love this little dog.

    Hard to Please

Enterprising, brassy and not afraid to bark what’s on his mind, Chase is Idol-maker Simon Cowell!

There’s no beating around the bush with Chase and flattery will get you nowhere. Chase calls it like he sees it, and stands firm on all fours behind his decisions. The cat definitely does not have Chase‘s tongue—some of his pals think he’s bitter and confrontational, while others find him to be impawsibly hilarious. Chase‘s influence on those around him is remarkable, and he takes advantage of this fact and uses it wisely. Behind his no-nonsense mask, Chase is a perceptive sponge, taking in what he sees and hears around him, and then figuring out how to make it look, or sound, better.
