Summertime and the Living is Easy

August 2, 2008

Today was the Central New Mexico Corgi Club monthly play date.  Kip and Inca were the token cardis (22 pems and my two corgis with tails)

They had such a great time.  Inca watched the gate to the dog park and when a new corgi came through the gate, she hit the dirt and stared intently.  When it was into the park a few steps, she leapt up and flanked it, turning it into the area we had staked out.  If a non-corgi entered the park, she quickly herded it to an area other than ours.  So where will I put her sheep at my townhouse?

Our Kip was the party cardi, running himself into the ground and happily greeting each dog as Inca brought it into the fold.  He could play all day.

If we can make the September play date, Chase-puppy will be home.  He will think the whole event is for him — after all, everything is all about Chase.

Thanks to Sylvi for the great photo of Inca rolling in perfume!

Rolling over, then rolling those eyes, saying “Give me a belly rub!”. She’s such a cutie.

  2. Sarah says:

Are Jane (or Des as she goes by) and Torie (little RHT Pem) in the play group?

If so, tell her HI from me next time you see her. She adopted Torie, my second Corgi foster dog, and I can’t believe it was six years ago!
