You Don’t Bring Me Flowers . . .

September 10, 2008

A couple of weeks ago, I emailed Carolyn that Chase had brought me a rose.  It was, unfortunately, still attached to the rose bush he had exhumed.  That was probably the last flower in the yard for this year.  So, I’m compelled to share what was . . . I’ve learned how to laugh and I’ve learned how to cry . . . darned puppy!

What kind of camera do you have Penni? You take beautiful shots!!

For the “macro” shots of flowers and plants, I use a Minolta Maxxum 430si. I call it the “idiot camera” because it has an auto setting that is great for action shots. For the macros I use a 70 to 210 lens and do not use the auto setting. I always carry a boatload of film. Thanks for the kind words. Wandering around taking photos is so high on my list of favorite things!

For the photos of the critters, I have a little Olympus digital that will fit in my purse or a pocket, or can sit on my desk for those sudden “cute” shots. I have a second battery always charging and extra memory cards.
