As you may know the weather has not been perfect for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. This morning, however, was splendid. Of course, I had a meeting last night, so was “forced” to watch the CNN rerun of the debate — that lasted until after midnight. I was in no shape to be at Balloon Fiesta Park at 6:30 this morning. So, I borrowed this photo from the field cam (link on my blogroll). Aren’t they splendid?
The tables and chairs in the foreground are in the “Gondola Club”. It’s a field-side restaurant/buffet. There is nothing better than sitting out there with a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate to watch the balloons go up.
Holy moley that’s a lot of balloons!
Love your SWF above!
As to Balloon Fiesta, I left town, so the weather should be guaranteed splendid. I’ve lived there for 7 balloon fiestas, but I often leave town at this time of year for obligations in my home state of Missouri. When I am there (like the first weekend–we wanted to go Sunday morning. It was canceled), the weather is horrible. When I leave, it’s perfect. It’s a rule! I’m going to guess you’ll be very safe if you decide to go this weekend!
