These were probably the last friendly clouds of the fall as a cold front prepares to move in. This photo was taken around noon, from the east side of the Manzano Mountains in Estancia, New Mexico. One of the best things about living in central New Mexico is that the sky looks like this almost every day. We have sunshine more than 300 days a year. I’m not inviting everyone to come live here, but you certainly are welcome for a visit.

You’re getting closer to my neck of the woods, Penni. I’m on the south size of the Manzanos.
It looks as if you still have hot weather. Nice photo.
Beautiful blue skies! Mine is, HERE.
New Mexico does have beautiful skies. Yep, I have to admit it. 😉
Happy Sky Watch!
I don’t know if this is just a trick of the photo, or if it look the same to you in person, but the clouds seem more 3-D than the mountain backdrop. I reminds me of those old Viewmasters. Surreally beautiful!
It’s at this time of year I get quite envious of those who live in sunshine most of the year. *sigh* Lovely photo, but do come on over to check out mine – grey skies opening into blue. 😀
Beautiful – I love how the clouds separate the blues in your sky.
Very puffy and nice.
they look so very low. nice capture.
Great clouds today. Love the view. Have a great weekend.
Love the fluffy clouds.
Lovely sky and cloud formation
A nice sky watch photo, I hate to see the skies change to grey of winter.
lol! I already live here 🙂
New Mexico is truly the Land of Enchantment, isn’t it, neighbor?
🙂
Great shot of the sky and Manzanos.
Happy Sky Watch Friday!

It’s like a little cloud train heading out of town!
What a neat capture of the cloud in the sky with the mountains.
Looks like the clouds are in a roll.
Coffee is on.
For all of you who think it’s still hot in central New Mexico, let me assure you, it’s not. Actually the temperatures here are quite moderate year round. A couple 100 degree days per year, some low to mid-nineties, a few days below freezing, but usually between 35 degrees and ninety degrees — with almost no humidity.
