Ralph fixed the notebook. He says that I visited a site that tried to insert some malware. My internet security spotted it and asked me what to do. I told it to quarantine and to then delete. Turns out the file the malware was infilitrating was my winlogin.exe. So, when that file was quarantined, the computer wouldn’t boot up. The malware came in at the site from which Garrett got his Autumn personality overview. Egads and Gadzooks! What a scare! Fearing the worst, I had already begun to look at new notebook computers, while crossing shows, trials and tests off my calendar as I made note of the prices.
So, in celebration of dodging another internet bullet, I’m going to take Chase in for his CERF test on Friday and send in entries for a tracking match in El Paso on December 7th, tracking tests on January 11th and 25th, the Hobbs show on January 31st and February 1st — and then, of course, the CWCCA Nationals (for which I will be more svelte than I am today).
I get the notebook back today, so after I do my community service this evening, I’ll be blogging from home.
🙂 Glad to hear your computer is better. I know how much I love mine…
Yea! I’m glad your computer is fixed, and you can spend you’re money on better things like health tests and entry fees. :-))
