Winter Solstice Sky

December 21, 2008

The dogs get me up at 6:00 every morning.  Since they all sprawl on the bed, it’s logistically simple for them to converge on me and to try death by licking — oh, yech!  So we get up, they have their chicken necks, and I start some coffee.

This morning was normal, except when I looked out my window, this is what I saw (to the east).  Couldn’t wait for SkyWatch Friday to post these.  Surely the roses and blues are an omen of good things to come.  So, good morning everyone!

  1. C-Myste says:

Happy Solstice! We in the north celebrate the return of the sun.

    At least . . . I know it’s up there somewhere!

  2. Ariel says:

I told Brian we needed to build a huge bonfire and carouse around it, but he wasn’t going for it. He’s such a spoilsport sometimes!
