Oh man, look at this! Is this not the cutest painting you’ve ever seen? The expression is exactly right. He has two brown front legs (instead of one white) — I’m sure that’s in honor of his Miracle-Mud Spa & Resort time. What a great present — and it’s almost my birthday! Dolly also has a special painting up on Shelley’s blog. Shannon’s work is just fun.

Chase went to his third Canadian Show today — again in Kitchener. Again he was Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex to Dolly Darlin’. He now has six points toward his Canadian Championship. Next Friday through Sunday he is entered in the All Breed shows at the Scarborough Kennel Club. With luck, he’ll finish there and can catch a flight to Albuquerque. Shelley was driving home when she called. As soon as they get to the house, she’s going to let him relax in the Miracle-Mud Spa and Resort. He’s really missed his spa time this past week.

Inca is the only dog at the moment. She’s enjoying it — EXCEPT — it means I take photos of her. She hates the camera so even though she is comfortably perched on her favorite chair (the one from which she tore a large piece of leather and lots of stuffing when Chase came), she looks pathetic. Come on, Inca, perk up! Maybe she misses Kip.
She also gets to be office dog. Here she is on the big dog bed. “Get that camera away from me!”

I am past sixty-five and still practicing law. I have two terrific sons, they have lovely wives, and I have one truly special granddaughter. At home are three Cardigan Welsh Corgis that amuse and challenge me. We participate in lots of dog-related activities. I love my camera, writing, and roaming.
