  1. . . . Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Little Red Dog . . .

    May 25, 2009 by MyEye

The Dink is seven years old today.  She’s been an “only” dog for the past two weeks and has two more weeks of relative heaven before Chase is home.  She REALLY likes being an “only” dog.  For her birthday, I thought I’d torture her by putting her in a pool chair.  Inca had her own pretty blue lei.  We tried the hat on, but it covered most of her face, so it ended up hanging on the back of the chair.  I didn’t fill the baby pool because it’s quite cool today — right around 70 degrees.  Our funny red girl — she HATES the camera.  I put the setting on motorized shutter release so I might get one photo in which she didn’t look abused.  Oh, well!  I love this little girl and hope she’s with us for at least seven more years.  Thank you, Carolyn for trusting me with her.  She sends birthday greetings to Megan and Denzil and Cenny, and her other siblings.

  2. The Rose

I’ve written before about what Chase does to my rose bushes (he uproots them and drags them through the dog door).  He’s been away since March 19th and this little, last-remaining, rose bush stub had time to put forth a few blooms.  They’re awfully small, but very fragrant.  I thought I’d capture them with the camera before Chase returned.
