I whine about how much Inca sheds — all the time. Since things are slow at the office this morning, I attacked her with the Furminator. Honestly, if she wouldn’t be terribly embarrassed, I’d have her shaved down!
She’s so annoyed she won’t even look at me — Okay, Inca, I promise, I won’t have you shaved.
The title made me REALLY cock my head, and go “WAIT!?! Did I miss something!!”
RIP Fluzz… you won’t be missed with summer quickly coming!
As reliable as the sun rising and setting, the corgi will generate a “basketball-sized” fur ball in response to brushing! I am starting to see a lot more white hair around my house now that Sage’s coat is filling out! I think his turn with the Furminator is coming up!
Kathy- My Cardis don’t shed as much as I’d like… but only because I like to spin their hair into novelty yarns!
Galaxy is a freak of Corgi nature, and has almost NO undercoat.
Hey, I shave Gizzer every summer, and last year I started shaving Kane. I just shave him along the back and sides, I leave his neck and chest fur. He looks SO cute with that tan undercoat, and he feels like a puppy. I thought I’d regret it shaving him the first time, but now I love it, and he loves it too!
I did shave my Aussies in the summer when they got old and weren’t show dogs anymore.
Sure you don’t want to take up another new hobby and learn to spin?
Oh my…Emily, I’m sure that Denali (fluff coat) would be more than happy to contribute to your novelty yarn collection! And my itty-bitty Pembroke, Elbee, can generate an incredible amount of hair – more than the cardis. Denali weighs 29lbs and Elbee only 16. Even though Denali is a fluffy, Elbee creates three times the fur balls! Just let me know where to send it! 🙂
