I spoke with Cynnie this morning. Chase slept with Sally last night. He tried out Paul’s bed, but apparently found it not as appealing as sleeping with the woman of the house. This morning he and Paul went on a long walk before Cynnie took him to the airport. All was well until Cynnie found out the air freight was not pre-paid (I’d tried, but because the total weight was unknown, could not do it). I’d sent American dollars to Shelley — biting my nails hoping the International Priority envelope wouldn’t disappear. Unfortunately, Shelley left the money on her dining room hutch and never thought of it again — till I called her a few minutes ago. So, Cynnie (who gets a HUGE gold star) paid for Chase’s flight, and Shelley is sending her the American dollars today.
Chase was delighted to meet all the Continental Airlines folks this morning. They talked and played with him. Cynnie gave him a good bye scritch and went home. She loved how happy he is (don’t we all). I emailed her the photo below to ensure she’ll always remember her encounter with our Chase.
He’ll be leaving Newark, heading for Houston in about 30 minutes. I cannot wait to get my hands on my little guy!
Chase is really having quite a journey getting home to you. I can only imagine the happy reunion on both sides when he finally get there.
