When Chase returned from his Canadian holiday (and the CWCCA Nationals before that), I thought he should repeat Beginning Novice Obedience Class. It had been such a long time since we had worked together. Unfortunately, the next Beginning Novice class doesn’t start until the end of July. So, we signed up for Intermediate Novice. I convinced myself that we would work really hard to bring him up to grade level.
These first couple of weeks have been very difficult. He is so interested in the other dogs and people that training is a challenge. Tonight I recognized the real issue. He thought I said “intermittent obedience class” rather than intermediate. So, we had a talk. I think the training will go better from now on.
OH….this explains a lot! I have Sage in Intermediate obedience training. We thought he was ready for it after his two puppy obedience classes. Clearly there has been a similar misunderstanding on his part!
Heh-heh…….don’t ya know doggies hear what they want to hear? That’s why they are so close to children, and husbands.
I registered with your new website so now it should be easy to comment.
Thanks!
LOL!
Oh priceless….just priceless! Clearly we have the same issues here! I suppose that it has nothing to do with adolescence right?
Hmmm… I am not letting Luther read this post.
