That is not a typo. Chase passed his CGC. We had a lot of trouble keeping his front paws in the grass — and his nose out of it. He’s just such a busy boy. The CGC evaluator was in a puppy class with us so Chase thought it was old home week. He really is a goof! Lisa, the evaluator is active in the UKC club here which will be having shows this fall. We’re going to get signed up/registered and try the weight pull. Lisa wants us to try for a “Super Dog” designation — and here I thought I was the only one who believes Chase-man is a “Super Dog”.
More amazingly, he scored an 85 in Rally Novice. We had some nose in the grass issues which resulted in some tight leash deductions — I wonder what they take off if you murder your dog in the ring? Since we’ve not even completed the 6 week basic Rally Novice class, I was happy with the boy’s effort. An amazing thing: the rottweiler that preceded us in the class lifted his leg on one of the marker cones and CHASE DID NOT FOLLOW SUIT!
He has Rally class in a few hours (indoors) and will do very well, I’m sure.
