I think it takes white tile and white appliances behind a black dog with orange trim to see that said black dog with orange trim is so very pregnant. I picked her up at airport cargo at around 10:30 tonight. She was decidedly confused initially, but as soon as she walked into my house, she made a bee line for the water jug and the dog door. To get there, she passed through the laundry room and poised against the floor and the washer/dryer, I could see the airline had served her an entire watermelon or she was quite with puppies.
Chase is sure Phoebe is here for him — he doesn’t remember getting her pregnant — so he’s following her around with his nose attached to a point right under her tail. She is going to nail him which he richly deserves. She has taken refuge under the daybed with only her nose sticking out. Poor Phoebe — this is such a rude and inconsiderate boy.
Tomorrow is the Obedience Club’s fun match for which I am chair. Chase is entered in Rally Novice so will be with me. That will give Phoebe and Inca a chance to just chill out and eat apples (if more have fallen — this morning I picked up 60 pounds of rotten or half eaten or not-so-bad fruit). Then I went to the Club and helped load all the match equipment, then I went to the Sheriff’s Posse Arena with six or seven stalwarts so we could set up eight rings. The pre-entries are very high. Once I get the “day-of” entries, I’ll be trying to figure out how to get all the dogs judged. Our Labor Day Trials are next weekend in the same venue as is the match, so everyone wants a run-through.
Oh yeah — and then I went to a Lobo Woman’s Volleyball match. It was the final match of a round robin tournament and our girls won in 5 games. They won all three of their matches. It ended just in time for me to head to the airport.
It’s almost midnight and I have to be at the grounds by 7:00 AM. G’night all — she really is pregnant!
I wasn’t going to let her fly down there until I was 100% sure!
I’m excited.
Should be an impressive litter, hope your ready to take daily pics for us!
Oh, I bet Phoebe can’t wait till she looks a lot less phunny!
Still thinking eight pretty girls! But more important…healthy pups and easy delivery for sweet Phebes!
Wow you have a super busy weekend. Enjoy the match and I hope it all comes together flawlessly and its nice and easy. Glad that Pheobe arrived safely. Cant wait for those puppies!
Hi Phoebe — welcome to The Land of Enchantment (that does NOT include that rude boy with his nose up your behind!)
