Puppies Have Arrived

September 19, 2009

Two brindle boys, one with a full white face, arrived at 12:05 AM via C-Section.  The white-faced boy weighed in at 15.2 oz. and the other boy at 15.5.  Everyone is fine though Phoebe is a bit groggy and not sure she wants them crawling all over her body.  The mismark is having trouble figuring out that he should latch on to a faucet for dear life.  The other boy won’t let go.

Here’s their first official portrait — more tomorrow.  I Mean later today . . .

  2. Kaye says:

Sorry about the boy thing, but they are healthy pups. Didn’t you say you sent some Chaselets out, maybe you could get a girl out of that litter?

  3. Joanna says:

Good girl, Phoebe. May the boys thrive.

  7. Garrett says:

    Holy cow big puppies!!

I too was hoping for a hidden third or fourth puppy. And shoot! Both brindles and both boys!! You will need to talk to Chase about that one…..:)

The important thing is that they are alive and healthy….but I can understand the bummer feeling. get some rest. You’ll love watching them grow regardless 🙂

  8. C-Myste says:

Hopefully the white-faced boy is learning to latch on. Hypoglycemia is sometimes a problem in Cardi pups.

Fat little stripedy things from the start.

  9. Jean from NM says:

So Cain and Abel it is. Hope Phoebe recovers well and that the mismark figures things out soon. “le sigh” indeed.

    Bet you’ll sleep well tonight!

  13. Sandy says:

Hey, didn’t I say Saturday? You could name them Butch and Sundance…since this is the day in 1900 the two of them robbed their first bank.

    Congrats to all!

Where do you get all these obscure but fun facts? They’ll need real names down the road. Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid will definitely be on the list.

  17. Kathy says:

OMG…I am just catching up. What sweet little Chebes! Yep, two brindles just as predicted. Glad they’re healthy and Phoebe came though without any undue delivery problems. I know that they’re not the basket of girls, as originally hoped, but somewhere each of these boys is going to make someone SO happy. They’ve just started their life’s journey. They’re robust and healthy – it is a time to celebrate!

    Congratulations Phoebe, Chase & Penni!

Catching up here as well. Yay! Beautiful, beautiful. Love the puppies.
