Two Legs Are Better Than One

September 6, 2009

Left is the side on which I wear my watch.  Left is the side on which I wear my watch.  Left is the side on which I wear my watch!  I can remember that — you’d think.

So, Chase only scored 93 today — mostly because we had a “do-over”.  The sign said “finish left”, but I asked Chase to go around — shoot!  That’s to the right.  At least I caught it as soon as I did it and asked for a do-over.  He was great and I’m his schmuck of a handler.  It caused him to finish 5th, BUT, he received a green ribbon.

I handed the little Olympus to a steward and asked her to take a photo of the judge handing us the ribbon.  She tried — There are a couple in which the judge has no head.  (That’s what she gets for being substantially taller than I.)  So, here is the best of the worst, and a couple of photos of a cloudy sunrise from our Trial site that I shot when I first arrived.

Tomorrow — will our Chaser have earned his RN?  Left is the side on which I wear my watch!

  1. Le'o says:

What a great weekend for you!! Big congratulations!!!!

  2. Kathy says:

Ahh…the brain does funny things, and isn’t always properly connected to the eyes!
Nonetheless, great job! Congrats on Leg 2!
    Thinking RN for tomorrow!

  3. Mandy says:

You can train mine next 🙂

  4. Carol says:

Gooo, Chase! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

  5. Traci says:

Congrats!!I don’t remember placing at all… ever…. with Kota through his Rally titles, but *shrug* we had fun 😉 Glad you guys had a good run, despite the end! 🙂

  6. Garrett says:

I tend to over ‘train’ before I go in the ring, even during walk throughs and then when its time for the ‘real’ thing, my mind goes completely blank and I forget everything. This is especially entertaining for those ringside watching me run Sadie in agility 🙂 🙂

    Congrats again! Good Luck tomorrow!!

  7. dawn says:

Wonderful. Good luck for that 3rd leg tomorrow!

  8. Holly says:

Congrats again!! Nice work. BTW Scores are not listed on the title certificate, and to err is human.

  9. Lani says:

Woo hoo!! 2 down, one to go!

Handler errors make me kick myself, too – which is probably why I always have bruised-up legs! 🙂

  10. Tom says:

Congratulations, another great day for both of you. But Penni, I can’t resist… “substantially taller”? Uh… errr…hmm 🙂 (Biting tongue)

  11. Left, right … these are mere details. You have a ribbon!

  12. Sandy says:

Super duper you two! I’m very proud of both of you!

    Watch, what watch? 😉
