The boyz will be three weeks old at midnight. They are up on their feet, make growling and barking noises, pay more attention to activity that is outside the whelping pool, and EAT. Yesterday I began adding a little cottage cheese to their raw ground turkey and goat’s milk. What did they say? “It’s all good.”
We begin with pretty Mama. (Please forgive the eyes — we got some funny lighting.)
Phoebe’s happy because she can now play with the boyz
SO darling!
OK, the Phoebe eye picture is spooky. LOL Such cute boys! Now they start to get really fun. 🙂
Oh they are so darling. I just want to snuggle them. Holmes is so handsome, and Watson, what a cutie!
How I wish I could come for a visit……….
Penni, have you tried leaving the flash off? I find that, unless it is very dark in the room, my digital cameras can do a good-enough job without the flash. I almost never use it. That way you can sidestep the harsh shadows (and strange eyes 🙂 ).
It was 5:00 AM, my little Olympus does not seem to have a “flash off” setting. When I remember (and I remember nothing at 5:00 AM), I put my finger over the flash which diffuses it. I’ll replace the Phoebe Ready for Halloween photo later today — after I make some money AND get the Chase-man groomed for tomorrow. The Nikon is truly beyond my abilities at 5:00 in the morning!
Okay, so mommy looks like she’s been taken over by satan, but in a totally cool way.
And AHHHH! I need me some puppy snuggles 🙂
I’m going to agree with Vicki on the “flash off” setting. Last night Tom used my camera for several pictures of me with Hux and Zoe. The ones that came out were the ones where he accidentally didn’t use the flash.
I can’t stand it anymore. I’m on my way over.
:o)
My old Olympus had somewhere you could turn the flash off… I can’t remember now tho. The Phoebe picture IS creepy, but the boys are darned cute 🙂
I rarely use flash/auto on my camera. It always makes things look weird unless you have a fancier setup that can bounce off white things like umbrellas and so on.
This is my favorite age for the puppies. Everyone is looking good and happy.
Those babies are SOOOOOO cute. Are you keeping Holmes?? I assume so 😉
On my camera I put a few layers of the ‘frosted’ scotch tape fitted over the flash. I don’t know how many layers I have on it, but I know I tested it one night, bored while Hubby was out late on day! LOL The diffusion the tape produces works out really well, and it’s something most households have already. Worth trying to the indoor, with flash baby pics.
Holmes . . . probably not. Chase is not nice to other intact males. That’s a trait he developed when he was out with Sherri, though he probably would be that way eventually anyhow. So, I’ll keep Holmes for a while to see how he grows. I have a potential performance home for him, but if he’s Chase, Jr., I’d like him to be shown in conformation as well. I really want a Chase daughter who is as cute and funny as he is.
Well (sheepishly) I read part of the instruction book and there are a dozen flash options, including anti-redeye flash setting, flash off, fill, delay . . .). My big complaint about the instruction books anymore is that the print is really tiny (because the instructions are in six languages), the symbols are not intuitive, and there’s too much information. However, now I know this little Olympus can do most anything.
I hope you get your Chase-ette soon! Maybe this upcoming litter you shipped swimmers for 😉
You can see if the olympus manual is in PDF format, as then you can read bigger font. I have the same problem w/ the written manuals that come with electronics, and like to just look at the searchable, digital copies instead!
The tape defuser method works really well on my canon, so worth trying for the times you need flash. Puppy pics rock, so keep them coming!!
A premature, “Happy 3-week BD, boyz!” I was able to “see” you both today, you’re getting soooo cute, and big.
I wish I could write more, but I’m zonked from my trip. I did learn one thing about my drive; there’s not a whole lot of anything between Napa and Las Vegas. Deadly boring drive.
Simply adorable boyz! This is a great age!
