We had a lovely evening. The food was grand, the company was even better, and it seemed that everyone received gifts he/she liked. Adrienne’s gifts included games of which I had never heard — I am SO out of touch.
Brock (younger son) digs into Kim’s salsa — so very good*
Doesn’t the kiva fireplace look inviting?
I forgot to take photos of the carnage as the presents were opened. I was too busy saying oooh and aaah, and there are no photos of us eating because — we were all too busy eating. I promise everything was so very good. There is nothing like a laid back evening with family — nothing.
* Yes, Kim, we did add some Hatch green chile to the salsa. Our tastebuds must be hardened by our regular chile diet! However, everyone commented favorably about the great flavor — must be the garden fresh ingredients. Thank you again for sending it down to me.
I’ve always liked that style of fireplace. Looks warm and cozy!
Sounds like a perfect evening! I love the fireplace!!! Merry Christmas to all and hope to see you at Nationals in 2010!
Great fireplace, I agree. I’m thinking that we really need to have a desert home and an Oregon home, too!
Glad you all enjoyed the salsa. I think roasting everything on the BBQ turned it sweet. We just add some fresh serrano peppers to it and it’s just right.
That Holmes is still quite the looker!
