Ending the Year With a Little Fun

December 31, 2009

Adrienne spent the night.  We went to watch our Lady Lobos who played Texas A & M.  Unfortunately they lost.  This morning I had Adrienne up and dressed in her new outfit.  A long skirt, a really pretty print blouse, black boots — and off we went to Federal Court.  I had a brief hearing this morning and called the Judge’s Courtroom Deputy to see if the Judge would meet my granddaughter.  He kindly said he’d be delighted.  We went into the courtroom and waited.  Just before the docket was to start, the Deputy called us back into Chambers.  The Judge came down in his robe and shook hands with our girl.  They chatted for a moment, I told him she really wanted to see someone leap up and yell, “Objection”, that I had made that request of all the attorneys out there and no one would do it.  The judge got a laugh out of that, and Adrienne was star struck (it’s not ALL about the Jonas brothers).

We went back to the house and changed into our daytime clothes, picked up our puppy and came to the office.  Adrienne had a plan for Holmes — I think it was a pretty good one.  What do you think?

This was such an enjoyable way to spend the rest of Adrienne’s day with me — and Holmes now knows what “tunnel” means:  run through the green thing and get treats and hugs.  That’s a dog’s life!

Happy New Year!! Wish you’d been with us tonight, but a phone call was almost as good.

Here’s to a great 2010 filled with tracking, and conformation champions galore. 😉

  3. Love the pics, especially that middle shot!!! The puppy, the tunnel, the kid……… Very nice. And of course I love the chartreuse…..

    🙂

  4. Very cute! The tunnel was Dennis’s nemesis for a while, but he got over it. Then his nemesis was the teeter. As far as I know that’s still an ongoing battle.

    Happy new year!

Wow—what fun…do they make those big enough for tall Greyhounds? I am so glad to be home on the weekend and be able to go outside with Creel in the DAY light! I only see him running around in the dark during the week and it’s getting kinda old now. Have a great day!
