It happens every seven years. Every seven years, I have a spring in which I am allergy-ridden. Each time that seventh year rolls around, I’m given allergy tests and am allergic to completely different things than I was allergic to seven years before
I woke up this morning with my eyes swollen shut. I have been sneezing since six AM. So now I sound awful and my throat is sore. I look as if I sparred with Holly Holmes (our local lady boxing champ). I can’t remember which was the seventh year past. It gets so miserable that, in the past, I’ve visited the emergency room for adrenalin shots. I really do not have time for this right now — and it seems to be starting awfully early. We have been below freezing every night. I can’t imagine it’s the kitchen mess — because a) no one has done any work in there, and b) whatever’s there has been there for a long time and I’ve not reacted to it.
So, please, if you see me on the street, don’t let your children laugh and point.
Oh, what a drag! Nothing like a severe allergy attack to really make you miserable. I am so sorry you’re having to deal with this and hope you can find something that will help you with the symptoms!
Hugs,
Kathy
Sorry to hear your not well. Hopefully its a freak thing and will be done quickly.
Go to the doctor……it’s the kitchen mess I betcha and it’s accumlated to the point where it’s effecting your health and possibly the health of other critters in the house……really, I mean it. Now, git!
Oh, dear. Feel better fast, Penni. Do you want me to keep Holmes for you? 🙂
Penni, get thee to your MD!
It’s most likely from the mold and demolition/construction in your house. When the walls get pulled down, it gets all that stuff circulating in the air. Just having the walls open creates opportunity for exposure to things that never bothered you before because it was sealed up.
Could it be from the mess in the kitchen? Maybe they didn’t get all of the mold. Get better there wa sa bug gooing around the midwest like you are feeling.
Oh yes we can relate! Kathy suffers from allergies year round, so we love the hardwood floors and such in the new house. (Gratefully she is not allergic to the dogs, but dust is a big trigger!) We also know the red alert runs to the emergency room when her system becomes overwhelmed. Take good care, and see you’re allergist quick quick quick!!!
Yikes!
Hope you are feeling much better very soon!
That sounds like no fun at all! I hope you feel much better soon!
I’m back, having survived another year-end at work.
Hope that you’re feeling better today, and hope that you didn’t become horribly allergic to dogs!
