  1. Sigh!

I am an organizer at heart — I just can’t help it.  I make lists, I plan days, my phone synchronizes with the calendar on my computer.  So, when things don’t go well, and my organization is out the window, I am a frustrated person.  Of course, it’s the house!  The guy came last night to put in the molding/trim, but he didn’t hang the bi-fold door that belongs between the laundry room and kitchen — I don’t know why <shrugs> and there are two spots on which he did not put molding — they’re on the doorway walls between the kitchen and dining room — I don’t know why <shrugs>.  The drain leaked when I tried the garbage disposal, the switch to the oven light is broken so I can’t turn off the light.  Although we really are near completion, the cabinet guy left the “fastening down counter tops” till last.  That means that I could not put anything away last night because there are drawers out and the microwave and coffeemaker could not be set on top of the counters.  The woman that planned to help me clean may be limited to scrubbing the bathrooms well and dusting the book shelves because everything else is in total disarray.

I have a 1:30 hearing today, so will run home at noon to let the dogs out.  Hopefully I’ll be able to put the folding table in the car to return it to the office (i.e., get it out of the living room).

One of my clients who lives in Louisiana sent me a “King Cake” with cream cheese filling — it is so rich — but what a nice thing to do.  He also sent one for my co-counsel, but had both delivered to my house.  After I let the dogs out and before I appear in court, I need to drop the second cake off downtown at his office.  Let’s add that to the list.

I know this will all shake out.  I have taken before and during photos.  Will take some after photos once the floors in the affected areas have been cleaned.  Tell me this is all worth it!

NORAD says Tom and Carolyn are in Roswell.  I hope they are not snatched up by aliens.  They should be arriving at my house tomorrow mid-afternoon.
