What I wouldn’t give for Chase and Holmes to continue to be this happy together.

Awww! How sweet!! I’ve never had two intact males, is it an absolute that they won’t get along as Holmes matures?
I’m hoping the boys will be best friends forever. I think it’s unrealistic because Chase is very assertive and has been (and will, I hope, continue to be) used at stud. Though most breedings these days are FedEx, there is the occasional girl that comes to visit. I think that will be the breaking point when Holmes “turns into a boy”. For a while, I know they will continue to be best friends. Chase is still teaching Holmes behaviors, house rules, etc. and Holmes is following his Dad’s lead. Someday Holmes will say, “This girl is for me.” and things will no longer be rosy. My few dogs are house dogs, I don’t have a kennel (or a place for one if I wanted it), hate crating dogs for long periods of time. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the best though.
Our two get along great as long as Dash still respects when Casper says enough. We just went through the two girls first seasons. Not one issue or fight. I hope you get as lucky as us.
