Lucky I didn’t decide to splurge on new cabinets 🙁 but the old girl is home tonight. She looks fine, told Chase off when he went over to the kitchen gate to say hi. She’s wearing a hot pink bandage on her front leg covering a catheter — just in case we need to put her back on an IV. Maybe she blames him for all of this. He’s now sleeping in front of the gate to keep her company. Her eyes look much better today. My vet says that if we hadn’t operated yesterday, she probably would not have made it. We’ll do a follow-up blood panel in a week to make sure her white count is back to normal.
I’m going to find some dinner now — but wanted to update everybody on the health of the lovely Phebes.
Oh Phoebe.. Jasmine and I hope you feel better soon. Pyo’s can be very scary but it sounds like it all went well. And she has every right to tell Chase to back off as “girly surgeries”, as my mom calls them, are no fun.
She looks WONDERFUL! Welcome home, Phebes. Feel better soon.
Thanks for letting us know, Penni.
I’m sooo glad Phoebe is feeling better!
Poor Phoebe… Scritches for the black girl. Glad you caught it in time.
Love you Feeble. See you soon.
So glad she is home! Sabrina was hospitalized for 4 days before I was able to bring her home. Give her a gentle hug from us here in NY.
I am so glad things are looking ok… what a disaster you sideswiped. I hope Phoebe continues to improve for you. Those Cardigans are so resilient. Only when they are on their ‘deathbed’ do they show signs of slowing.
She looks worn out. Glad she’s home where she belongs.
I am so glad she is back home with you. Heal quickly, Phoebe!
Thanks for the update! So glad she’s on the road to recovery.
So glad Phoebe is home and on the road to recovery!
I’m glad to hear that Phoebe is on the mend.
Hang in there, girls! Happy to hear things are looking up.
Oh dear!
I am so sorry for the lost hopes.
But so glad that Phoebe is ok.
Yikes.
She definitely looks like she’s been through the wringer.
i am glad she is home!!!! poor Pheobe!
Take care Phoebe…Penni will be sure of that!
Aren’t dogs amazing! They can be on the brink one day & bounce back to wagging tails and attitude the next. Glad to hear she is doing so well
Hi mom,
I’m so glad you’re OK. I have been very worried about you.
I’m having fun in Oregon. It’s raining, but I really like Portland. Fig and I have been cruising the hotel lobby. We’re two wild and crazy corgis! We’ve gotten lots of pats, and one nice woman even hugged me.
We get to visit with fig’s sister, and my cousin(?) Greta on Friday. I’m looking forward to that.
Anyway, I’m glad you’re on the mend, and aren’t we lucky that G-Ma Penni takes such great care of you.
Much love,
Watson
