I cannot exactly explain how this came to live at my house. I went to OfficeMax to have a bunch of documents printed from a CD. In my practice, the Feds give us all the discovery on CDs. There aren’t many clients in the jail that have their laptops and printers, so I end up paying to have everything printed out for them. Eventually I am reimbursed . . . well, that was a digression, but it proved I wasn’t out looking for trouble. Anyway, as I came out of the “Impress” section of OfficeMax, there sat a table, and upon the table sat hugely discounted items. One of the items was the Olympus X915 for $77.00. The original price was $229. I have an Olympus Camedia C-60 (quite old) which I use when carrying the Nikon is not practical, but the X915! Wow! It is really little, shoots at 12 megapixels, has a 5x optical zoom, takes video (as did the Camedia), and is really tiny (oh, I said that). It will fit in a pocket or get lost in my purse. The only one left had not been a floor model — it was just the only one left. So, it came home with me, I’ve charged up the battery, and today will read the rules so it can travel with me to Washington. Because it’s so small, I can carry-on the laptop with the camera and will post puppy photos from the show site (well, from the hotel). Isn’t it cute?
First photo with the new Olympus — still lots of rules to read
