A Return From the Puppy Fix

I have a bazillion photos and lots of notes about the Chase Magic Puppies. However, returning home was in Murphy’s hands and we all know what a great screw-up he is. We did a puppy party on Saturday afternoon — Yakima was sunny and beautiful. Then we spent the night there and did a puppy party this morning — in the rain (boo, hiss!). At noon, we all left for our various homes. Paula drove me directly to SeaTac where I checked in for my flight. It was uneventful from SeaTac to Las Vegas which is where Murphy took control.
My flight #395 from Vegas to Albuquerque originated in Orange Country California where my plane’s front tire ran over a bolt. The front tire had to be replaced so that made the plane late, then the plane flew to San Francisco which, shortly after #395 landed, had no visibility whatsoever and air traffic control called off outgoing and incoming flights. Meanwhile, I was sitting at Gate C-9 in Las Vegas. We were due to depart at 9:15. At 9:30, I realized no Southwest Airlines plane had pulled up to that gate. That’s when I went to look at the information board. Egads! The flight was delayed until 11:30. Since we lose an hour coming east, we landed the completely full flight of tired, cranky, grumbling passengers at 2:00 this morning.
