  1. Oh, Yeah. Fresh Peach Daiquiri — Yum!

    July 7, 2010 by myeye

A 6 oz. can of frozen limeade (NOT daiquiri mix)

That same 6 oz. can filled with rum

1 medium-sized peach (peeled and pitted is important)

    A big handful of ice

Throw it all in the blender and blend until slushy.  Then sit on the back porch and appreciate the beauty of the day.

  2. July in the Backyard

I haven’t been much of a gardener this year.  The baddogs make it very difficult to grow things to “ready to pick” stage.  However, I have hanging tomatoes — they are very green, but I have hopes that they will ripen by the end of September.  The peaches are grand this year.  They aren’t big, but this tree gives me lots of sweet small peaches.  Vicki noted that orange is the color for hot weather — no doubt!  The trumpet vine echoes that sentiment.
