Susan and Chase head back out to the country today so Chase can work on sheep. Here is a short report from last night:
Chase got to herd ducks tonight. He had moments of brilliance, followed by distraction. His comment was, “we don’t need no stinkin’ ducks.” When he was herding he did a very nice job. Since he won’t be trialing on ducks until April, I am not the least bit concerned. Most dogs have a stock preference. Angus would herd ducks because I wanted him to, not because he had any desire to.
Tomorrow we are back on sheep! Then on Sunday, Chase goes home with Cheryl for the week and I will herd with him on the weekends.
More updates tomorrow and pictures on Sunday.
