Cheryl decorated the house and baked a hamburger cake with parmesan cheese topping. She and Susan invited Chase’s girlfriend and assorted other canine buddies to celebrate. After all, you only turn three once. Thank you Cheryl for inviting me by photographs.

This morning Little Leidy’s temperature has dropped to 98.8, so I suspect we will be delivering puppies tonight. She thinks it would be more fun to deliver them in the den she is building in the run/pen adjoining the new puppy room than in the white, disinfected whelping box. She is wrong — I’m not going to squat in the dust with a flashlight in the back yard to help her with the babies. We’ll put an end to that plan.
I must go into the office for a while this morning, but will bring goats’ milk when I come back. Then I’ll be camping at the house for the duration. It’ll give me an idea about how this working from home shakes out.

I am past sixty-five and still practicing law. I have two terrific sons, they have lovely wives, and I have one truly special granddaughter. At home are three Cardigan Welsh Corgis that amuse and challenge me. We participate in lots of dog-related activities. I love my camera, writing, and roaming.
