The Old Gate Is At the New House

October 7, 2010

It must have happened yesterday.  Jesus and his guys (someone wants me to call them the disciples) brought the old gate that I designed from the townhouse to the new house and installed it.  I never looked outside last night.  I stopped at the grocery store and unloaded the car, then began unpacking.  This morning before I left for work, I stepped out on the patio to breathe in fresh air — and there it was.

I can certainly see why you love the gate; it is beautiful. The whole setup looks wonderful. I have really enjoy following your move and Chase’s education.

It is a very pretty gate! So you have your backyard fenced in two sections? A smaller close section and then the large back area? Your dogs must be loving all the room to run!

I fenced the back 2/3 of the acre and then did the privacy fenced area around the back patio — there is room for some planting on the north side corner. The general dog door opens into the privacy area so the dogs are not running the acre fence with the neighbor dogs all day long. I can open the pretty gate and turn them loose in the big area to run themselves silly. On the north side outside of the privacy area is a 6 x 10 run. It has a dog door leading into it from my “new puppy” room. Leidy will be moved into the new puppy room this weekend. It will give her a chance to rest (i.e., avoid playing with Holmes). Another reason for the double fencing is that I will be having a garage built in a month or so and the workers need to come and go without running over my dogs or letting them out onto the 140,000 acre ranch that is at the end of the street.

    The gate wasn’t there.
    Suddenly it just appeared…
    A miracle, a miracle!!!
Guess it just happens like that when Jesus & the disciples are doing the job.
On a more serious note it is more than a gate, it is a work of art. Brilliant design Penni, it’s beautiful
