Smooch started escaping from the whelping box a couple of days ago. I saw her go over the edge the first day — she used Udi’s back. I saw her go over today — oh, my! She put her back feet on the pig rail and launched herself into the air. There was no clambering at all. She cleared the top of the box and landed on all fours then took off running around inside the x-pen. They are 8 weeks and a couple of days old. Smoochie is going to an agility home — thank goodness! If I happen to be close with the camera already set on video, I will try to record this astonishing puppy. In the meantime, close your eyes and envision it. While your eyes are closed, you might also offer a prayer of thanks that you don’t have this little kangaroo living at your home. DeAnn, PLEASE don’t back out.

I’m not at all surprised at the antics of that rascally puppy! I watched her last month, and figured she would give someone a run for their money. Fear not, though — DeAnn will love her. Such a wonderful personality, even if she does leap over whelping boxes in a single bound. Go SuperSmooch!
LOL – every time I watched the puppycam, Smooch is the total instigator. Such a sweet face, but such a little devilish streak! I like Jean’s nickname of SuperSmooch.
