Here is the second of the 12-months of Chase that Cheryl created for me.  I love this funny dog!

Thank you again, Cheryl and Susan.

  2. A Princess Crown and Reward Toy

The first ear-taping got Nola’s ears up to a high airplane wing position.  She’s able to prick them higher, but I didn’t want to take any chances.  So (since we are again snowed in) I did a secondary taping this morning.  I did not use the moleskin, but rather took the next size up foam roller (it’s a pale aqua), used the skin adhesive to glue just the roller to the inside of her ear, and then re-taped.  Needless to say, she’s not happy with the contraption on her head.  However, to sweeten the pot, I pulled a new toy out of the collection bag.  THAT made things a lot more palatable.

    High-tailin’ it through the kitchen

    First attempt at disembowelment

This toy includes a tennis ball so when you throw it, it bounces.  Nola brings the toy back — that won’t last!  However, with later training, the behavior will return.  Good girl, Nola!  The bigger baddogs were locked up for a little while so the baby could enjoy her prize in peace — before they enjoyed it in pieces.

  3. 2 Degrees, Wind, 60% Chance of More Snow

I can state with absolute certainty that only the dogs are happy with the present state of the weather.  Today’s high will be in the teens.  It’s supposed to warm up to 26 tomorrow, and then Friday, up to 46 — that sounds like a heat wave.  Our annual TDX test is set for Sunday in an area that sits about 7,000 feet above sea level — think it might be a bit chilly?  Again today EVERYTHING is closed — schools, courthouses, etc.  The local kennel club meeting was canceled last night.

I’m hoping the sun makes an appearance today so I can get in to my office.  I have so much work piled up on my desk . . .

However, as I said, the dogs are very happy.
