At the office our phones and DSL lines were out today. It was so quiet — and I finished up a lot of paperwork. A contractor working in the street near the office complex had severed the phone line on Friday evening. Because the Federal Court is completely electronic, I could not get to any linked documents that I needed, but there was plenty else to keep me busy. On the way home (southbound) I saw in the northbound lanes of I-25 a clean-up from a fatality. There were police everywhere and, of course, everyone had to rubberneck — slow going.
I still arrived home before dark, sat down at the computer to check email when Holmes began barking at the sliding door. He has no reason to do that since they have their dog door. Dutifully I went to see what he wanted — gasped, ran to grab the camera. I still haven’t identified Holmes’ issue — but all’s well that ends with a gorgeous sunset.
