The first ear-taping got Nola’s ears up to a high airplane wing position. She’s able to prick them higher, but I didn’t want to take any chances. So (since we are again snowed in) I did a secondary taping this morning. I did not use the moleskin, but rather took the next size up foam roller (it’s a pale aqua), used the skin adhesive to glue just the roller to the inside of her ear, and then re-taped. Needless to say, she’s not happy with the contraption on her head. However, to sweeten the pot, I pulled a new toy out of the collection bag. THAT made things a lot more palatable.
High-tailin’ it through the kitchen
First attempt at disembowelment
This toy includes a tennis ball so when you throw it, it bounces. Nola brings the toy back — that won’t last! However, with later training, the behavior will return. Good girl, Nola! The bigger baddogs were locked up for a little while so the baby could enjoy her prize in peace — before they enjoyed it in pieces.
Hughie was reliably (and obsessively) fetching at 13 weeks.
I won’t encourage *that* behaviour in any future puppies that I own.
Awww, is she not the CUTEST thing EVER! I just love her color and her beautiful face! What a honey.
Rufus would be jealous – there is nothing better in his world than a new toy to cherish – I mean, disembowel.
Nola is such a pretty girl! Her face is so sweet.
