Today — was, well, great! Chase/Magic daughter Nikki won the 12 to 15 month bitch class, Chase/Magic daughter Ali was third in that class. Then — HOLY COW — Judge Jim Reynolds selected Nikki as Winners Bitch. We are very proud of her. Later in the afternoon, I received a call asking if Chase would be the demo dog for the Judge’s Education Seminar. He had been bathed and groomed for tomorrow, so I said of course and off we went to help provisional Cardigan judges understand what to look for in Cardigans. I think Chase misunderstood the subject of the demo. When we arrived at the seminar room, there was a pretty blue merle girl there. He made little noises at her the entire time we were in the room. Poor Chase was very disappointed.
Tomorrow is Best of Breed competition. Chase will be in the last group because he comes from the Herding Titled class. Anything good that happens in Best of Breed will just be gravy — there have already been so many happy surprises!
