  1. Herding-Titled and Megan Photos

    May 5, 2011 by myeye

Hurray!  I finally got to look at the Chase photos from Nationals.  Here is the First Place Herding-Titled class photo.  As always, Sherri Hurst did a lovely job with the Chaseman and James Reynolds did a lovely job judging that class (at least I thought so).

. . .  and our Megan Best Brindle Dog photo.  What an honor!  I am so grateful to Kathy Schwabe, Tom Stewart and Shelley Camm for picking Chase out of this large, quality-filled class.  Lauren McIlwraith did a wonderful handling job — I’ve already reserved her for next year 🙂

  2. Office Dog (Experiment)

This morning the Honda Service Department put new front bushings on my Element.  I expect if I keep it for as long as I plan, it will be all new — the bionic dog car.  Anyway — since it only takes a couple of hours to change the bushings, I decided to wait for the blue toaster.  To keep me company, I brought the STAR puppy Nola.  She had a blast at the dealership.  We took a walk, she met lots of people.  My goal was to expose her to crashes and bangs and weird noises that she would never hear at home — or even at our training classes.  She weathered everything with the greatest aplomb.  Once the car repair was completed (and the dealership had nearly all my money), Nola and I came to the office.  I gave her some toys and some treats.  Then I turned to the computer to work.  She was up on the desk within seconds — however, unlike her Dad, she is not light-footed and graceful.  I cleaned up all the documents that she dumped on the floor.  I did take some cell phone photos.  I decided to share because she is very cute even when she is being “naughty Nola”.

    Is someone coming in?

    No more cookies?  You’re joking!

    Do you need my help?

    I can do it.

    You can’t see me.

    Nice painting
