Today Holmes-puppy was again Winners Dog and Best of Winners, and today it was a 3-point major. Holmes is now up to 9 points (including the major). Thursday morning he is heading up to Cortez Colorado for the Durango Kennel Club shows. It is three more days of bitch majors with only a few dogs entered — where are all the boys? So, I will have all my body parts crossed that he finishes his Championship this weekend. As Chase’s firstborn, it would be nice if he was the first child to earn a Championship. Ali, Nikki and Deuce are also rolling along, and, honestly, I’ll be delighted when each of them finishes — regardless of the order.
I was so happy Holmes won that I forgot to stand behind the official show photographer and take a photo for the blog — there was my camera around my neck . . . and brain-fart! I think it was a good show photo though. I’ll post it when it comes in. Holmes looked very handsome. He has bodied out — still has that elegant line and low station (from him mom). His Championship will put Phoebe one point from her ROMb. Holmes and I will try to add another point this winter — probably a TD or perhaps an HT late this summer.
In my email today were the VetGen PRA test reports for Holmes and Nola. Both are PRA Clear. I didn’t expect anything else, but you just never know so it’s nice to have official confirmation. I’m now awaiting Nola’s DM test results.
So, it’s a wrap!
