Holmes again was Best of Winners for another 2 points. However, Nola stole the show. Today she was 2nd — so she’s moving up in the world. She gaited in more of a straight line. On the table, Wendy had her stacked nicely when Col. Joe leaned forward and told her how cute she was and that he might stick her in his pocket and take her home. THAT was way more than Nola could take standing still. She launched herself at him. Instead of stepping out of reach (as most judges would do), he moved his face closer to hers and she gave him a full face wash with tail wagging mechanism in gear. It was adorable. Col. Joe thought she was too thin. He’s welcome to his opinion, but I think a mean, lean fighting machine is much healthier. In any case, she won friends for the breed today. Thanks to my friends Jean and Elizabeth who came to cheer for Holmes and Nola. They obviously brought them good luck.
On another front — you will probably see this photo on at least three blogs. Here is Lowri at 5 months old. Is she not lovely?
I had not seen that picture yet! But I see she has the same belly cowlick her sister does!! What a pretty girl!
Sounds like a good weekend! Congrats on the points!
Just thinking out loud here:
If you put a little more weight on Nola maybe she couldn’t squeeze through tight spaces anymore?
(ducking)
She’s lovely!
