“My AKC”: is a breeder/exhibitor’s place to keep track of her dog’s progress toward its Championship. So, I’ve been checking on Holmes each morning and again in the late afternoon. As of this morning, wins through May 17th are posted so he shows 9 points with one major. They should be getting to the Durango Kennel Club Cluster next. It shouldn’t be long — maybe even today — his page will show 15 points with 3 majors and CHAMPION C-Myste The Game’s Afoot At Elyan. Now if the photo would get to my PO Box so you can see the transformation from fugly teenage boy to Champion . . . The same show photographers seem to be on every premium list I receive so I am despairing.
Holmes is a lesson in believing in what you saw in the puppy. You all remember what a lovely puppy he was with sweep and style, nice depth. Then that suddenly ALL went away. I thought the Gypsies had stolen my puppy and left another in his place. So he either outgrew that awkward, gangly phase, or the Gypsies returned the real Holmes.
