    Can you hear them growing?

  2. Right On The Heels of Lowri and Alli . . .

Today little Sally (“Susan” of the Ocho) made her de-butt in Richmond Virginia.  Janet showed her in Bred-By and Sally was Winners Bitch for her first point.  No dogs showed so there was no Best of Winners.  Mama Scout was Best of Breed.  The first three of the Ocho have now de-butted and the litter is three for three.  That is pretty amazing! Congratulations, Janet — for Sally AND for this litter!

  3. Another Alli Flash

Today little red Alli (Mary from The Ocho) was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex for 2 points with her Junior Madison showing her.  How exciting is that — Madison’s first  time in the breed ring (she’s been in Juniors as Diana points out), Alli’s second show.  The Ocho are burning up the tarmac.  I can’t wait to hear how Janet and Sally do in Richmond tomorrow.  Being a dog grandparent is hard work — well, the keeping track is hard work!  It’s easy to love them all.  Alli is a Scout/Chase baby — Lowri’s sister.

  4. The Ditchas Have Landed

This morning Ditto (CH Coedwig’s Dejavu) delivered 10 puppies between 2:45 and 6:45 Central time.  The count was 6 boys and 4 girls.  One little boy did not ever draw a breath.  So Lisa (and Ditto) will be raising 9 babies.  There are three for-sure dark brindles, four for-sure reds, one red or red brindle, and the last puppy (the 4th girl) may be black or very dark brindle.  Ditto is taking great care of them and even the tiniest of the puppies is nursing well.  Three of the puppies are quite small so Lisa will supplement them until they catch up with the rest of the group.

Lisa has chosen Snapdragon as her Kennel name and this litter will be named for Tennessee Williams’ plays.  I’ll have photos later.  Whoo hoo!  This is the link to the pedigree.

Chase (AM/CAN CH C-Myste Baledwr Pursuit of Happiness CD HSAs RN VC TT) is the oblivious daddy.  Better get a job, son.  There are more mouths to feed.

  5. A Quick News Flash

Diana Mann reports that Alli (red girl “Mary” from the Chase/Scout litter — not to be confused with Ali of the Chase/Magic litter) made her de-butt by going Reserve Winners Bitch, Best Cardigan Puppy, and Puppy Herding Group II.  Now that’s a nice start — doncha’ think?
