Boy Show Puppy Available

August 24, 2011

The puppy that Lisa calls Vance is available to a show home.  He is all about attitude (and has a nice body).  Lovely pedigree blending Chase’s old line with Carbon.  Vance’s mom CH Coedwig’s Dejavu is Carbon’s Champion #???.  She finished just over a year ago.

His attitude makes me think of his dad.  His outline and coloring remind me of Holmes.  He’s happy-go-lucky and is always in the middle of things.  If you’ve been wanting a show boy, please fill out the application (link at top of blog) and I will forward it to Lisa.

On another note, Riley is returning to Dallas.  Lisa has decided she wants to raise her and manage her show career.  I’m going to enjoy her company until the weekend of September 10th.  She has been a whiz with housebreaking (probably because she is so enamored of the dog door).  She goes outside to potty — or for a quick stop hops in the litter box to piddle.  The dog door is actually her hobby — she’s in and out a half a dozen times an hour — because she can.  I gave her a cinder block and she likes to perch on it and watch the daily drama unfold.  I may anoint her office dog tomorrow.  I think she’ll like the opportunity.

Love the topline on the puppy! Looks like good bone too.

BOO on Riley leaving! I know how much you love her already, not to mention what all she would have been able to do living with you. Lisa doesn’t know what she is giving up. Oh well, I wish her much success with Riley.

Susan that just hurt my feelings. Riley will be able to do & learn other things here too! This is just the beginning.

Certainly not trying to hurt your feelings! I was specifically commenting on what I know she would be doing at Penni’s. Having been a breeder for a number of years, I know exactly how valuable a good show/performance home of proven interest and ability is. I have placed my top show prospects in homes where I was pretty sure they would be given every opportunity to shine. That was despite knowing what I could and would do with them.

That is also why DC Kollege’s Star Seeker, RN NA NAJ; CH Bluefox’s Having a Ball, CD RN NA NAJ HSAsd HIAs; and Lowri were entrusted to me when they were puppies. The owners/breeders knew what they were getting as a home for these pick-of-the-litter puppies.

I am sorry your feeling were hurt. I tried to write it to avoid that outcome.

So, how is one supposed to develop that proven interest and ability without being given the chance to improve and grow?

I am going to respond privately so we don’t take up Penni’s blog space.

Nice puppy! Too bad I need a boy, or any puppy for that matter, like a hole in the head. 🙂

Ditto what Jeri said. (I think his pedigree may need an update!)

Ditto was champion #91 for Carbon
