Nola was 2nd in her 9-12 puppy class. She was leading the pack for the entire class. The judge asked the handlers to turn the dogs toward her so she could look at fronts. Since Nola has such a lovely front, my mind said, “Oh, this is in the bag.” Then the judge pointed to the dog behind her for first and gave Nola second. Sigh! Holmes was Best of Breed and I’ll report back on the Group later today. Here are miscellaneous photos of the baddogs in the ring.
Cardigans showed late in Boise, so I don’t have a report on Nikki.
UPDATE: Herding Group was last — so I stayed at the show until 5:00 to watch the judge NEVER look at any dog smaller than the Aussie. Holmes is really out of coat, so I didn’t expect much, but I was offended for the nice Pem that was in the Group and a pretty Sheltie.
Nikki (up in Boise) was BOS to Pilot. She’s close to earning her Grand Championship.
Tomorrow is another day at the dog show.
