  1. Apparently I Cannot Count & It’s Official*

    October 27, 2011 by myeye

The AKC formula for a dog becoming a Grand Champion isn’t all that complicated — once you read it a few times, you should have it down.  Today AKC has posted Holmes’ points through the 15th of October.  They show he has 20 points, 4 majors, and has defeated 2 Champions.  On October 16th (not yet posted) he defeated 14 dogs, including one Champion.  In our AKC Division, 14 dogs equals a 5-point major.  That means that Holmes is Grand Champion C-Myste The Game’s Afoot At Elyan.  It also means we didn’t need to enter Pueblo.  So, the pressure (such as it was) is off.  I am very proud of our funny boy, and, as an aside, I wish I could count.  Holmes is Chase’s second Grand Champion child — right behind the lovely “Nikki” Grand Champion Wellshire Absolut Magic.
