It’s A Little Early for Winter

December 19, 2011

It began raining at 1:00 this morning — just poured. When I rolled out of bed and looked outside, there was mud as far as I could see. I slid my way out to the road with the trash can, came back in and took a shower. When next I looked outside, it was snowing — big, elegant flakes coming down very fast.

I have beau coup to do at the office so dressed in cords and boots.  I drove three miles west and hit icy roads.  Recalling the torturous 2-hour trip a week or so ago, I turned around, called my answering service and bailed on being in the office today.  Tomorrow’s forecast is one word ice.  Hmmm.  I might have two days available for vacuuming and mopping.  That will give the dogs the opportunity to track mud onto clean floors.
