Weekends are too far apart — have you noticed?
Last night I met my friend Alden (Watson’s person) at the Sandia Resort where her company is participating in the Fiery Foods Show. We went to dinner and gabbed our way through baby back ribs and garlic mashed potatoes. It was just such fun to sit and talk with her NOT at a dog show. She brought me some citrus balsamic vinegar and hatch green chile fettuccine. I will create something good to eat from those gifts. This morning they sold one of their company’s machines (to fill jars or bottles with homemade “whatever” — mostly salsa and chile sauces here). So Alden is having a good trip.
This morning Nola went herding with Ellen. Today our little girl was being recalcitrant about rules — like “wait” until you are told to get the sheep. We think she works better when I am not at the herding site so Ellen will pick her up on Friday. If we herd again on Sunday, I will go shopping while they herd. Nola is only 16 months old and her baby brain shuts off at inopportune times. We are determined she will be ready to earn her HT at the All Corgi Trials the weekend of April 13-14.
