No Q for us again today, but Chase is really doing so well for the limited and sporadic training he has had. He got his weaves in jumpers this morning, but dropped a bar. This afternoon in Novice Standard he missed his weaves. Since he’s had only two intensive weeks of weave work, I think I have to forgive him for blowing one out of four weave exercises. I took video, but the arena was simply too dark — bummer — because he did some great work. Today when Lisa took him back to retry his weaves the third time, he told her off. He can be very naughty. Next trial is our Obedience Club’s Novice and Open only on October 20-21, and then the first weekend of November, my local club has its Agility Trials — so we will enter those as well. I suspect Chase will be much improved in a couple of departments by then.
I’m about to add a double and a triple jump to my collection as well as a teeter. Those seem to be our problem areas so I want to work on them at home. With class once a week and regular home practice, I think the boy will be a star.
Lisa serves up great treats — waiting to go into the ring.
