One Day Post Turkey

As I posted yesterday, my Krups coffeemaker died. I’ve ordered a new one through Amazon, but it will be a few days until it arrives. Although this is a holiday in New Mexico, I have work to do so I headed off to the office bright and early. On the way (well, not really — it’s pretty out of the way), I drove through Starbucks and treated myself to a Vanilla Latte which should keep me going for a few hours. As soon as I’m done with this post, I will get down to work — all CWCCA volunteer stuff, but it will be good to get it out of the way.
To those of you swimming upstream in the stores, I really don’t envy you. To those of you doing fun things with family and your dogs, I do envy you. Have a great day and I hope the sun is shining where you are.

. . . and the happiest of Thanksgivings

Notwithstanding the death of my Krups coffeemaker this morning (it no longer cares to cycle hot water through its system), it’s a beautiful day. The morning is clear and sunny, two of the three baddogs are sprawled at my feet while I type this — more about the third baddog in a moment, nnd I will enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with “Jean from NM” and her family. I am looking forward to four days to catch up on the Bulletin and on my two chores for the 2013 National Specialty. Black Friday — hmm — Tractor Supply Company is the only store in my sights.
I wish for all my friends the very best day, and for humankind I wish contentment, a meal that is sustaining, and a view of our world that is peaceful.
Nola went home with Jess yesterday. She will be traveling to what I hope is her last conformation show in Belleville IL the first weekend of December.

Holmes

Yesterday Anne gave Holmes a bath and promised Josh something to help take photos. She sent several that I like. This is one that I have PhotoShopped out the leash, Anne’s hand, a painting that was on the wall behind the dog. Isn’t Holmes the handsomest guy.? He turned three in September and I have turned my efforts to finding him an appropriate wife. His health test results mirror his Dad’s: Hips OFA GOOD, elbows Normal, PRA Tested clear, CERF normal, DM clear. Unlike Chase, he is fluff free. His mom is Phoebe — from the lovely breeding of Hedgerow Bj’s Rum Raisin ROMb and Phi-Vestavia Inkling ROMg. Pedigree is here.
