Holmes’ first litter was born this morning. Pretty Rhiannon (Ch McCombs Telltail Fleetwood Macs Girl) delivered 5 girls and one boy in four hours. The puppies were very even in size (between 9+ ounces and 11+ ounces), they’re all brindle, pretty markings and no mis-marks. They are strong, healthy little kids. Whoo Hoo! The pedigree is here. It rained most of the night and is still raining this morning. The baddogs have played outside and the kitchen is permeated with overwhelming scent of eau de doggue. The real Rio Grande is expected to overflow this morning as a huge wall of water sweeps down from Colorado.
The Lesser Rio Grande is in my backyard — or maybe it is our private dirt road, We have not had this type of ceaseless rain since 1977. We still are not complaining!

I am past sixty-five and still practicing law. I have two terrific sons, they have lovely wives, and I have one truly special granddaughter. At home are three Cardigan Welsh Corgis that amuse and challenge me. We participate in lots of dog-related activities. I love my camera, writing, and roaming.
