This weekend I will be flying to Tennessee for the Lowri/Dickens puppy party. I will be bringing home another freckle-faced darling. She will be Bluefox Elyan Mariposa and we will call her “Flutter”. She has freckles just like Salsa. I sincerely hope they become BFF.
Since I have to travel so far anyway, I am going to scoop up the adorable red puppy. Her name will be Bluefox Elyan Mine Not Yours — we’ll call her Gimme. I hope she has the same herding drive and physical beauty as my friend Ellen Gerwin’s Pem girl “Gimme”. Gimme was the first Dual Champion Pem. It’s definitely a name to live up to. This baby reminds me of Naughty Nola.
Where to begin — well the weather — it’s obvious. IT IS AND WAS COLD! The Sangre de Cristo Kennel Club Agility Trial was held at the horse arena at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds (renamed Expo New Mexico so that the Garmin can’t find it). We did not run on Friday because I was in an all-day seminar getting the last of my required Continuing Legal Education credits. I arrived on Saturday morning wearing four layers of clothing — over the course of the day, I took off only one layer — it was so cold. In addition (in case my fingers were working), I had no phone reception so couldn’t post to FB. Chase was in fine fettle — put me in coach . . .
I am past sixty-five and still practicing law. I have two terrific sons, they have lovely wives, and I have one truly special granddaughter. At home are three Cardigan Welsh Corgis that amuse and challenge me. We participate in lots of dog-related activities. I love my camera, writing, and roaming. I live in central New Mexico because it's where I want to be. Thanks for visiting my blog. Your (tasteful) comments are welcome.
