  1. Whoo Hoo — Snow Day

    The weather dude, who is notoriously wrong 98% of the time, predicted snow last night.  When I went to bed at 10:30 we had no snow — just a little wind.  At 5:30 this morning the dogs thought it was time to get up.  I un-crated the girls and lifted Chase off the bed.  They flew out the dog door, activated the motion sensor light in back and WOW!  Undoubtedly the scene was pristine for 12 seconds or so.  However, the dogs were delighted and have rolled and wrestled since they got out.  We also really need the moisture.

    So, all the schools and State Courts are delayed.  My road trip to Grants is canceled.  What shall I make of today?

  2. Catching Up On Assignments

    As everyone has probably figured out by now, I am always playing catch-up.  One of the chores that I needed to finish this month was getting CWCCA Handbook ads off to the coordinator.  I prepared pages for Chase, Lowri and Holmes.  Perhaps you will see their pages on Susan’s and Anne’s blogs.  Here is the ad page I prepared for the Chaseman.

    I’m so proud of all he has accomplished, but most of all, I’m glad he lets me share my bed with him.

  3. WOW! Santa Was Here!

    Cheryl Kienast sent me a package which arrived on Saturday, but I made it to the Post Office too late to retrieve it.  I picked it up today.  There were lots of fun little things in it — edibles for me and for the baddogs, BUT this is the piece de resistance

    Yes, at my house it is all about the Chase.  Forever more, Jessica Viera will be front and center in my living room, earning Chase his Grand Championship, and there are lots of photos of his children.  How I love the baby baddogs!

  5. In the Mailbox

    Today when I visited the Post Office, I had a surprise from Lani Fry.  She sent me The Bad Dog’s Diary.  My mission is to read it without my baddogs getting any new ideas.  What a nice gift.  Thank you Lani.

    A few days ago my CardiClaus package arrived from Karen Lyons at Woodrose Cardigans (and other critters).  It contained great “stuff” — an ingenious bottlebrush sheep ornament, a little stuffed sheep (no Chase, not yours), a patriotic kerchief with Corgi pin (Chase does not want this gift), a very ingenious travel water bottle, stuffed bones — they all want these.  Thank you Karen for the fun collection of items.  The great-smelling soap is already in the shower, the candle is on a bookcase in the office.  There was an Isle of Dogs shampoo sample (none of the dogs want this item).
